Tyler starts preschool!

Tyler had his first day of preschool this morning! He is SO thrilled to be going to school now. He was beyond ready. He will be 4 in just a couple of weeks but we started him in the 3 year old class for many reasons. He loved his teachers, his "projects", and was all smiles when Andy picked him up. He had no trouble going into his class which is wonderful news! We are so proud of our Big Boy!

Luke is a Kindergartener!

Luke graduated from preschool at the end of May. We loved LE Preschool. Luke attended for the past two years and had wonderful teachers. He is so ready to start Kindergarten at "mommy & Wilson's school"! I keep telling him it is his school now too!

Here he is walking in. Love that little grin.

A cookie and lemonade for celebrating!

With his buddy Ethan. They are good friends from school and church. They were in the same class at LE this year. Ethan will be moving to Africa in August. Luke is a little sad about that.

Luke's First Day!

Luke had his first day of preschool today! He was excited to go back to school. I didn't get too much info out of him but Andy said he walked right into his class and was all smiles after school. He had fun with his friend Ethan. Luke is looking forward to lunch bunch this year when he will get to stay an extra hour 1 day a week to eat lunch with his friends and have extra play time. I can't believe he'll be in Kindergarten next year. Time flies!

School shopping with Luke!

Luke and I went pre-school shopping a couple weeks ago. He had chose a fun backpack and matching lunchbox. A new shirt for the first day, and his new green chucks. He looks so cute wearing them! His foam placemat was found by my friend, Gayla. At his preschool they use the placemat as their circle time seat. Twitter can be so helpful sometimes! We have had parent orientation this past week and Andy took Luke to meet the teacher. He is looking forward to going to school 3 mornings a week! His first day is on Wednesday.

Preschool Celebration

My handsome boy!

His smile is precious!

With his best friend Jack.

Cookie and lemonade. Ty loved being a big boy with Luke!

Saying goodbye to his teacher. He'll have 2 different teachers next year. We loved Ms. Kim! She teared up saying goodbye to Luke. She said he is such a neat, well mannered, nice boy. It made this mama proud!

Tuesday was Luke's last day of preschool for this year. On Wednesday they had their End of Year Celebration! Luke will continue at LE again next fall in the 4 year old class. I was able to take my personal day on Wednesday and spend a special day with Luke! It was fun to watch him sing songs and do all of the hand motions. Then we had a cookie and lemondae with his classmates. He chose pizza for his special lunch so we went to Puccini's. We had a great day!

Luke's Easter Party

No MOTY awards for me...Luke's preschool had picture day on Tuesday and an Easter party on Thursday. I laid out his clothes Monday night (jeans and a green sweater he loves) forgetting the next day was spring picture day. He was dressed nicely but in play clothes. Not spring picture day clothes (khakis with a button down shirt - maybe arms rolled up a couple times!). Oh well. We'll be getting our own family pics soon and I can get some individuals of Luke like I was planning on anyway.

But Thursday. That was a little worse. Thankfully Andy redeemed us and took care of everything. Let me just remind you that the past two weeks have been very busy for us. Ahem. So Andy went to drop Luke off at school on Thursday and as he pulled up he noticed tons of parents inside. That is not normal. He figured it must be the easter party day. He drove back home (like 2 minutes away) and found the newsletter that I had printed off, but not transferred the party date to our calendar. Saw that yes it was indeed party day and Luke needed 12 plastic eggs with candy and his easter basket. Thankfully, Luke's party didn't start until 11. So they had time to prepare. Ran to Walmart, got the eggs and candy. Came home and stuffed the eggs. They got his basket out and headed over to school in time for the party. Luke was fine with the whole thing. Andy had to change his plans for the morning but willingly did so. It all worked out...but it's haunting me! I don't want to forget important events for my kids, especially don't want to send them without what they are supposed to have. Thankful for a good daddy who took care of everything!
Egg hunt with his friend from school

I got the April newsletter email today and the dates are already on the calendar. I'll try my best to ensure this doesn't happen again. But I'm not perfect :)

Preschool Graduate!

Friday was Wilson's preschool celebration! I was able to leave school for a little bit to go see the celebration. The kids stood on stage on 4 mini risers to sing songs. Wilson was so embarassed to be on stage that he wouldn't sing. Instead he rolled his eyes during the songs. Occasionally a small smile would sneak out! He walked down the risers when Ms. Kim called his name and even stood front and center long enough for daddy to take a picture. Of course he was rolling his eyes. I'd like to know where he learned this trick...but I was proud of him because he was really nervous about the whole thing!
Thursday he came to the school I work at for Kindergarten Buddy Day! He was there from 9-10am taking a tour and meeting other k's. Andy brought him and went to the parent meeting during the tour. The night before Wilson was so worried about the tour that I had to promise to stay with him while daddy went to the parent meeting. I wanted his first K experience to be positive, not filled with nerves so I just stayed with him. The night before he was crying, couldn't sleep, was worried about a number of things ("all I can write is my name", "I don't like to sit at a desk all day" and "I don't like show and tell"). Can you tell he doesn't like to be the center of attention in public?! I can't believe we'll go to school together next year! Crazy!

First Day of Preschool!

Wilson had a GREAT first day at preschool! He was nervous, as you can see in the pictures! The first one was at home and the second was in his classroom. Andy said he walked right into his class - so quickly that he was afraid to ask him to stop and take a picture with the teacher, that it might mess up the bravery he was feeling. I totally agree! New classes/teachers have generally been hard for Will but today he was such a big boy! When I was talking to him about school he said his favorite part was everything. He made some friends but isn't sure of their names yet. He was also excited about getting to play outside. He told me he had apple juice with his snack. That's about all the info I got but that's a lot from a 4 year old! He also knew his teacher's names and told me he got to sit in circle time. Yesterday we had gone to Meijer to buy his foam placemat to sit on for circle time and he was curious about what "circle time" was. I asked him a question about Luke's day and he said "I don't know mom, I was at preschool!!". I'm so proud of him for being brave and going in to school like a champ.

Now we just need prayer that the boys handle mommy and daddy being away (at the hospital) while Ty is born. Tonight he said he didn't want Ty to come because he didn't want me to spend the night at the hospital away from him. I told them they'll get to come visit and hang out but he got angry about us being away. Hopefully he'll have so much fun with Gamma and Gampa that he won't care when it actually happens!

Since the last post...

*I'm still pregnant!
*We're selling items at a local children's consignment sale and yesterday Andy and I got them all priced with the official tags and loaded up in the car! The boys were at my mom's for a couple hours so we then went on a lunch date to Panera. That was nice!
*Went to Wilson's parent orientation for preschool Thursday night. It was great. I was very impressed and his teachers seem so nice. Tomorrow is his first day of preschool! I can't believe it!
*Wilson went on Friday with Andy to Meet the Teacher. Andy said he was excited but shy.
* Cleaned the fridge and microwave. I think I'm done "nesting" (which means I've caught up on my overdue cleaning!).
* I finished the book Twilight. It was good and I'm ready to read #2.
I guess that is all! Still lots needed to be done at school before having the baby but I'm getting as much done as I can each day! My team has a PD day tomorrow so we're going to observe another school's reading block and then we'll have the afternoon to make plans/changes to improve our reading block. Should be fun and productive!

Golfball

Well I talked to Wilson about signing up for Teeball. He was pumped! Saying he would be so excited. Then he said he was scared because he didn't know how to play. I told him he would be on a team and have a coach that would teach him how to play. Sign ups start next Saturday. The next day we were talking about teeball again and he said I want to play golfball. Not golf, golfball! What logical thinking! Baseball, teeball, basketball, football...golfball! I said you can't play golf at 4 years old, you'll have to wait. So then we got into talking about how Uncle Mac or Paw Paw could take him to the driving range sometime. I think he's mostly referring to putt-putt golf because that is what he has played before. We told him he can go golfing when it warms up. So next weekend I'll sign him up for Teeball. I think it will be really good for him to be on a team and get some energy out!

Also, he has his preschool visit on Wednesday! I'm really hoping I can leave school for about an hour to meet him and Andy there. I'm so excited that he will be starting school in September! He sure is growing up!
